My name is Linda Sue Flowers Reynolds and I was born and raised right here in Bossier City, Bossier Parish, LA. at Barksdale Air Force Base.
My mother, Glenda Ruth Henneke Flowers McCarl, was from St. Louis, MO.
My father, Ovid Elucian Flowers, was from Crowville, Franklin Parish, Louisiana.
I am the mother of 5 girls, grandmother of 8 grandkids, (3 boys and 5 girls) and 2 great-grandbaby (girl and a boy)
I came from a large family of 10 kids. 7 boys and 3 girls. That was an adventure and I loved being raised in a big family.
I started researching my family history in 1983 after attending a cousin's funeral in Crowville, LA.
My father and I use to do a little traveling to Franklin Parish, Louisiana and Franklin County, Mississippi in search of family records until he became very ill.
Since my father passed away, I haven't done much traveling in search of family history. I hope to do some in the near future.
My mother and I use to do quite a bit of research and we worked together for a while in the Morman Genealogy Library in Shreveport, Louisiana.
When she became very sick our "Family Research" kind of came to a halt.
She passed away in 2017. Mama was a beautiful lady inside and outside and she is greatly missed.
